Our Response Process
Legal Request Review
When we receive a legal request for user information, we:
Verify authenticity: We confirm the request comes from a legitimate authority with proper jurisdiction.
Assess legal basis: We review whether the request is supported by applicable law and properly documented.
Evaluate scope: We determine if the request is appropriately narrow and does not seek irrelevant information.
Notify users: Whenever legally permitted, we notify affected users before disclosing their information.
Challenge overly broad requests: We push back against requests that are excessive, unclear, or appear to lack legal foundation.
Content Removal Review
Before removing content based on external requests, we evaluate whether:
The request identifies specific content that allegedly violates law or our policies
The requestor has provided sufficient evidence to support their claim
Removal is legally required or consistent with our Terms of Service
The content represents legitimate expression that should be protected
